Media Center does not run by default when you start Windows. Instead, you have to start the program by using the Media Center shortcut on the Start menu or by pressing the green button on a remote control that has been set up for use with the PC you want to start. The main executable file for the Media Center program is Ehshell.exe. You'll find it and its fellow program and settings files in %SystemRoot%\Ehome; as its name suggests, the main program serves as a shell that in turn calls other functions such as Windows Media Player.
