Accessing Shared Libraries

If your PC is joined to a homegroup, you have access to every shared media library from within Media Center The option on the far right of the menu above the gallery in the Music, Picture, Video, and Recorded TV libraries is Shared Click that to see a list of all other PCs in your homegroup that have matching content to share with you

From a navigation point of view, there's almost no difference between using a shared library and a local one The name of the computer doing the sharing appears in the title section in the top right corner of the library, and you'll see an occasional warning that some options are unavailable When accessing a shared library, be aware of possible performance issues, especially when accessing large shared libraries Also be aware that copy-protected content can't be shared with other PCs
